Saturday, March 31, 2007 Today's class outing was pretty fun! Surprisingly, The Freedom Writers was a pretty good movie. Go watch it! It's pretty emotional.Skipped work for nothing today.. Stupid weather! At least I had the time to collect my mahjong cards today. Way to improve your grades and concentrate in school, Jason. GAY! Too bad you can't see who's beside me hahaha. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 It's my mum's birthday today! I bought flowers for her, and apparently my father has never done so before and she was so embarrassed that she scolded me at first. ): But now my father's in trouble because he has never bought her flowers before.. Heheheh. My parents! Big flowers eh? At least they made her happy I hope. She's the only female I can make happy now... The other one I just don't know how to anymore. ): Thanks mummy for taking all my shit, especially when I was a kid! Love you! Thanks to everyone who remembered! (: Maybe, just like some things, I just have to accept that I'm 19 and live with that fact, as much as I don't want to. Ah, the imperfections of life; they make it so much more interesting and sorrowful. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 Yay, I'm supposedly 18 today according to someone! (:I'm still young! :D Monday, March 26, 2007 Jason almost got his wish of being forever 18 today. If I was to walk faster when I crossed the road just now, I'd have been knocked down by the car instead of that poor lady. What a pathetic excuse of a driver; I was already half-way through the road and I wasn't even jay-walking, so you can guess how long the red light has been on, and he still claims it was green when he knocked down the lady. Luckily she was not hurt badly, probably just leg injuries since she did not want an ambulance called. If it was me, it'd be harder to say since I'm heavier, and when a two heavy masses collide, I guess my football career could be over. I don't know if I'm lucky to not be hit, or unlucky to witness such a scary sight. It would be dramatic if I were to die just one day before my birthday, eh? Cardiovascular training hasn't been the best since I returned from Italy. I need to push myself more, especially since the league is coming soon! Another year like the last one, and it'd be two decades without a significant other for me. ): Not that I'm not used to it.. Sigh. Saturday, March 24, 2007 LOLhttp://www.yesbutnobutyes.com/archives/2007/03/top_15_unintent.html Weekends! Woohoo! With my birthday approaching, Guess it's a tiring day of training tomorrow. It's okay, I love torture because I am such a masochist. (: I keep thinking of that day, And I think I'm treating my family to Italian food on Sunday since they like asked me to with my meager paycheck. It's apparently $65++ per head, so it's goodbye to most of my money. Actually all, since I blew over two hundred dollars at GNC just now, lugging two big tubs of protein home. A slice of cake and candles and a birthday song. (: Enjoy the weekends everyone! Wednesday, March 21, 2007 I spotted eye-bags. ): This will make me uglier than I already am I guess. ): Not much of a difference! This few days have been really, really tiring for me. I've not felt this tired for a really long time. Work blows! The good thing is that there's only... 16 days left if I count Good Friday out. Let it be over, and fast! So all my compatriots are probably bored at attachment. I've found a few games to play on the computer that are easily hidden or closed if necessary! 1) Mahjong! This ancient Chinese game seems to be the rage now. This nice guy has found a copy of a really nice simulation for it! Look at my shit discards. -_-. I could have won pretty big, maybe a half colour or something. If the picture's too small, it's three Red Dragons and three East Winds I've thrown and drawn and thrown. Blah. Get the game here! 2) Desktop Tower Defence! If you've played Warcraft III, you've probably played the Tower Defence genre of games. This is a flash-based version of it that is very good! You can even maze in it, and submit scores and your mazes for comparison with the best. Those who have never tried this type of games before, try it! It's really not bad. I've included Flash Element TD in the download as well. Flash TDs Pack 3) SimCity 2000 Yeah, it's a really old game. But it's still fun for killing time, time that's so much of at work. ): Basically, it's a simulation of building a city from scratch. Figure it out yourself! Here! Tuesday, March 20, 2007 Going to work after such a beautiful trip to Italy really sucks!Haven't really got over the time difference, which I didn't really help myself by being out the whole weekend instead of resting. Just one more month.. I'm looking forward to the end of my attachment more than my birthday. :\ At least I got my paycheck today! Finally my bank account will look more respectable.. I guess. ): Sunday, March 18, 2007 You want to be regarded as an exciting and interesting personality able to persuade others to comply with your beliefs and ideas. You are charming and able to influence other people who come into your sphere of influence. You like mental stimulation and you are the sort of person who is prepared to 'try anything once'. Your confidence is so much so that others are often swept away by your enthusiasm. You are willing to try anything once. You 'need to be needed' and what is perhaps more important you 'need to need.' You can only feel close to a person or persons when you feel you can trust them, but this trust needs to be proven to you. All the problems that you have been experiencing of late seem to have become a part of your life and there is little that can be done to change the situation. Your emotions run high - but even though you feel as if at times you are about to burst this situation will pass. Try to release your pent-up emotions by participating in some extra physical activities like running, swimming, whatever. There must be some favourite pastime, not necessarily strenuous, that can help you to relax. It is said that we are all influenced by our environment and indeed you are no exception. It would seem at this time that even though you may be surrounded by people, you are experiencing an inner loneliness. Fortunately you are sufficiently strong minded to realise that life has a great deal to offer you and that you may miss your share of experiences if you fail to make the best use of every opportunity. You therefore pursue your objectives with a fierce intensity and are prepared to commit yourself deeply and readily. You believe that whatever you would like to do or think 'you can do' - you do! It is because of this attitude that you may be considered by others as arrogant and even conceited, but its fair to say that whatever it is that you really want out of life you will put your heart and soul into it and will not take 'NO' for an answer. You are putting on a show - a facade. You are a master of demonstrating considerable charm in the hope that this can or will lead to better things. Deep down you are fearful that this may not work and that you may have to employ other strategies in order to realise all your ambitions. Colorgenics! Friday, March 16, 2007 Arrivederci Roma!I'll miss the weather.. ): And the Italian chicks. And the Japanese tourist chicks. Aww. Last full day in Italy today! It was walking around the neighbourhood in the morning, finding another big church just near the hotel and then buying some stuff at the supermarket. Everyone just fell asleep for most of the afternoon after that. Then, our host brought us to this place she called the "outlet". I died and went to shopping heaven. You would too. This outlet was like the bastard child of our Paragon and Queensway shopping centre! It was factory prices of branded goods like Guess, Levis, Adidas, Nike, the list would go on and on, throughout the whole place! It was a very, very beautiful place to shop too. Typical street markets found throughout Rome, and probably Italy, selling mostly imitation goods. Big church. Statue. Another statue. Closer view of the church. McDonald's, they have taken over the world. Sakura trees in Italy! Lime beer! Actually, it tastes like a stronger Jolly Shandy. Hotel entrance. Shopping heaven! More heaven! Big Nike store! Big Levis store! Adidas was expensive ): Italians love to bring their pets shopping. 30 to 70 percent price reductions! Getting crowded as the day draws to a close. Ain't the streets so nice for shopping? They really make you want to buy and buy, and the prices too. I can't believe that futsal ball that was priced at over forty dollars back in Singapore I think just cost me five euros here! Yeah, I bought two. Haha. I think I'll really miss this charming place when I leave at noon tomorrow. What a beautiful city, and what low prices today. If you're ever coming to Italy, here are some things you need to know! 1) Dinner starts around 8 to 9 at night, which is pretty late compared to most Singaporean families. 2) Learn some Italian! As with most European countries, most things like menus are printed in their own national language. So you might order things you don't want to eat. 3) Shop at supermarkets! You really need to find one. A damn mamak shop charged us like 3 euros (about S$6) for a bottle of mineral water, while it was fifty cents at the supermarket. Just because we are tourists. ): 4) Learn to drink alcohol! If at Italian hosts a meal for you, there will be alcohol. Learn to stomach it. 5) And, finally, control your urges to shop at places other than the outlet! I swear, you won't regret it! Thursday, March 15, 2007 It was Florence today for visiting. Florence is the home of the famous sculpture David by Michelangelo. It took a 90 minutes train ride from Rome I think to reach there. I'm not sure because I slept throughout both journeys. :X Rome Terminal. Poor statue terrorised by birds. Typical store along the streets of Florence. Florence Duomo. It's big. Campanile Grand eh? Part of the Duomo Piazza della Repubblica Man on horse! Hungry horses! Levis! Taken while in the queue to enter the Accademia dell'Arte del Disegno. Heheh. Don't get horny now girls. The famous David! I risked my balls taking this because taking photos is not allowed in the gallery. One of the many art pieces depicting crucifixion found in the gallery. Trenitalia! Expensive, but really clean toilets. Salami pizza. Pizza in Italy is really thin, sorta like prata you find in Singapore. Really juicy and nice! Some pillar near the hotel. In Italy, you can see many small and cute cars like this. They're made by Mercedes-Benz and apparently they're not cheap. That's all the photos in my phone! Rome and Florence has been really romantic cities for me, even more so with the really good weather these few days. Love can really be felt in the air here. Imagine sitting in one of the benches in one of the various town squares feeding pigeons in such sweet weather with your honey. (: Wednesday, March 14, 2007 Argh!! My phone died on me and I couldn't get pictures of the Pantheon and St. Peter's Cathedral, both of which in my opinion look grander than the Coliseum, of which I have pictures. And they are free while the Coliseum cost us €11 each to enter. ): I guess I'll try to take those pictures from my dad's camera.Breakfast! Most of what's inside the coliseum.. If I guess correctly those are the underground tunnels that losers were dropped into. My kind of place ): Stadium seats! Second level.. View from the top. Eros, Greek God of Horny. Heheh. More Roman architecture.. It's hard to see, but in the middle there are Italians dressed as gladiators and a king. Roman building. That's all before my phone died. It's really unfortunate I couldn't get pictures of the Pantheon, the Cathedral and the overpriced lunch. The Pantheon and the Cathedral were really, really grand. And this long can of beer cost us fifty euro... cents. Damn Italians and their untaxed alcohol. Luckily I don't drink back home anymore. (: |
