The last month of being that beautiful age 18...

... Which is mostly spent at work. ):

After a while you learn
the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn that love doesn't mean possession
and company doesn't mean security.
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of an adult not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build your roads today
because tomorrows ground is too uncertain for plans
and futures have ways of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns
if you get too much
so you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure
that you really are strong
and you really do have worth
and you learn
and you learn...

Six and a half hours of mahjong and I realise that I've not won anything, and not lost anything.

Sucks. ):

Happy Lunar New Year to all!

May I win more money in gambling this year to overcome my sadness. (:

Gambling's bad kids, don't forget.

No one should end and start a year being unhappy, so I hope everyone's happy now. (:

Me? I'm used to that feeling. (:

Whew! Just came back from a session of football at "The Cage". It's somewhere near the National Stadium, and it's some warehouses that are converted into artificial pitches for football.

I think we must be proud that we lasted the two hours! Okay, maybe not exactly 120 minutes, but even 90 minutes of intensive football in such an enclosed area without much rest is really, really tiring. Our team stayed in the pitch the whole time because we kept winning.

Too bad the last match was marred by some arguments. Typical rough play from the opponents but we still won them after going 4-0 down at a point in the game.

If only there was no work and I could play football everyday. ):

Yes, it's 5 in the morning now. Have a great Chinese New Year's eve everyone.

You lucky people with your half-days tomorrow, and day-offs next week. ):

I keep falling asleep at work, standing, sitting, in whatever obscure position. I so need sleep, and a little love. ):

I swear, the guy who invented the Panadol cold tablets is a genius. It's like a God-send for me now. Without it, I have no idea how am I going to go through a day without being all sick. Man, it's like Viagra if I was impotent. Note that I am very potent, but I just like to use extreme examples like that. (:

Work was so slack today. Met the boss for the first time today, and by all accounts he is friendly, albeit sounding a little.. "over-confident"?

Happy Valentine's to all! Remember, don't call it Single Awareness Day (SAD)! We should be positive about this commercialised holiday for couples, alright? (:

I'll be copulating with my work today! Since the engineer I'm under is away to Batam later, I'll try to run away from work go to the library and research the Visual Basic thingy I'm supposed to be working on.

Have fun all! (:

Less than 12 hours to my final paper! Can't wait for it to all end.

Then it's 9 weeks of minimum wage slavery. ):

Anyways, true love really transcends time. This couple hugged for 5000 years. So in the spirit of that damn Valentine's Day that's coming, let's make love, not war!

The call of that spherical object could take away all the fatigue of a couple hour's sleep the previous night. That familiar voices, faces and shuffling of feet brought back memories of those days that were too good to be true now. How did those days ever exist, I wonder.

Mathematics was... Sigh. At least the dim sum lunch at Chinatown was pretty good and cheap. $8 for quite a lot of food. At least I won in Mahjong later in the day. Heh.

Last paper on Friday! Can't wait.

Congratulations to Singapore for winning the ASEAN Cup yet again!

Congratulations to Jason for putting viewing the Manchester United - Tottenham match over studying for his paper in 7 hours!

It was worth it though. Seeing 4 goals and O'Shea wearing that keeper jersey and foiling Robbie Keane. Heh.

Oh well. Good luck to me tomorrow! After that will be no more damn sh*t mathematics for Jason for at least a year. Or three, since there's NS.

Sure gets nostalgic watching "The Unbeatables" again! It's some Channel 8 drama from way, way back, around more than ten years ago? I can still remember watching some episodes of it when I stayed in Singapore but was based in China still. I cried when I had to go back to China. ): I was like three or something.

Damn, I feel old.

11 to go!

Time to get back to watching even though it's 5 in the morning!
