Thanks to everyone who made it for last night!

I'm really exhausted, probably had like 2 hours of sleep for the past 2 days.

It was still pretty fun making new friends though. (:

And that BME Pain Olympics video is really fscked up shit. It was tolerable the second and subsequent showing though, maybe I have the stomach to bear such squeamish stuff. The link is here: http://www.thatsphucked.com/post/2008/01/BME-Pain-Olympics.aspx, but be warned that the video is extremely graphic and perverse in nature, and you should be like above 18 to watch it. It's not porn, it's just extremely graphic and perverse. Good luck!

What a terrible week of having hangovers almost everyday. Insomnia is such a curse. I kind of developed a resistance to the sleeping pills I steal from my parents. It could be a good thing though, because Lorazepam is highly addictive, and not really sleeping pills but instead more used for anti-anxiety purposes. I can't afford sleeping pills on my own, much less bring my mom along to see the doctor and pay, because she really disapproves of handling my insomnia with pills.

And so the cycle of relying on alcohol starts again. I really dislike the hangover you get the next day, but I really don't know what else I could do. They say warm milk helps, but unfortunately I am allergic to milk. It's not as if I've tried not drinking to sleep, but when you're tossing in the bed for hours, and feeling totally alert at 6 in the morning, even after trying the old method of reading something incredibly dry and wordy to fall asleep (Harvard Business Review), you start to get really desperate.

I really do hope I can get over this one day, and start falling asleep within five minutes of trying. It's not like I'm stressed or heartbroken or thinking about anything at all; I just can't fall asleep. It's such a vicious cycle, this affliction of mine. I've just had the most painful headache ever while watching Indiana Jones just now, probably the effects of too much booze or something. I don't want to live like this for the rest of my life. ):

I'm the unwilling poster boy of AA.

Alcoholism and insomnia apart, I felt really sad and guilty today. At work (Kind of a temporary job in catering), we had to dump so much food. It was really such a waste, to see trays of cooked food being dumped just like that, when everywhere people are talking about food prices rising, and majority of the world being hungry, much less the disasters that recently hit Myanmmar and China. We're so rich and extravagant that we don't know it sometimes. :(

Continuing on the topic of sad things, for a good cry/wake-up call/read, go see this blog. It's a really sad read, and it's really sad that for most people (me included), it's only when life is being taken away from you that you really start to appreciate it, and live it to the fullest.

We're the lucky ones, so let's go live our life to the fullest! And without @#$%!@$ insomnia.

Yay. I've recovered from my swollen face. Still, it's really mysterious what's caused it. I hope it's nothing serious.

I found a new show that further makes me want to study medicine. House. If only I found out about him and Christian Troy when I was like five, so I'd study hard and be able to take medicine in college. D:

Bah. The right side of my face looks uglier than usual. :( Now my earlobe's all red and swollen.

Anyway, I left my job because I think it's a little difficult for me to adapt to it for a long-term, and I've been falling sick so much recently.

The entire right side of my face is swollen and painful, even the ear-lobes. Argh. ):

This is one picture-y post!

Anyway, I want to thank Jacqueline, Kellie & Clarissa for their birthday gift even though they gave it to me like in May, and it was wrapped in newspaper, but I still love you girls! I'd try to grow them ok!

I miss Bali!

The past few days were so fun and pretty surreal! It's so fun travelling with friends, because there are so much less boundaries. I really miss the beaches everywhere, and 25 cents Teh Botols. We need to travel more guys.

Most of the pictures were taken on Wednesday, and I'm really lazy to caption them. I look so fugly and nerdy, because I overslept on Wednesday after clubbing the previous night at Mbargo, and just went out without even shaving and everything. ):

Sunday

Arrived at the airport and had dinner with my family. Met them, bought two bottles of duty-free Baileys and some beer, and left for Bali. Arrived shortly after and went to the resort. Had some fun at the pool at night, and nothing too eventful.

The resort is pretty nice, but I didn't take much photographs of the rooms and stuff.

Monday

Woke up and had breakfast with the boys at the hotel! Breakfast's not bad. We booked a transport for the whole day, costing us 450,000 rupiahs. That's 90,000 rupiahs, which was around S$10+ per person. Pretty cheap.

We went to Kuta, which was a really touristy area. Bah, I don't have a camera so no pictures, haha. Shopped around, things here are pretty cheap but avoid most of the branded beachwear shops like Ripcurl and the such. They're costly. Ralph Lauren's a good buy in Bali because they're made in Indonesia. Around S$40. Also, avoid the backlane shops! They're counterfeits, and are pretty expensive too! Plus, you're gonna be so scared into buying, because they are kind of intimidating in numbers. I didn't buy anything, but I'm just warning you guys.

So the whole day was pretty much spent shopping, after which I joined my dad for seafood dinner on the beach, and at night we were back at the resort. Funny stuff happened, but I don't think I should expose them if not I cannot handle the ramifications!

Tuesday

Woke up and had breakfast with the boys again, and we went to the beach around Nusa Dua. It was really beautiful, but no pictures, sorry. I really loved sun-tanning, and drinking Coronas and Long Island Iced Teas, and smoking. Woo! This is the life. No nice nude chicks though, only a couple of unattractive ones. ):

Went to Kuta to shop again, and we had A&W. We really need to open this franchise again in Singapore. Next was the worst part of the trip, some Balinese massage and spa where we got really ripped off. ):

After the spa we went to another part of Kuta, where many of Bali's clubs and bars were. We had some food at Flame Burgers, and for 20,000 rupiah (Around S$3+?) we had a really nice burger, with a juicy and large beef patty. Man, we need to franchise this too. Haha. We went to Mbargo to club, and the great thing about clubbing at Bali was that Foreigners got to enter for free, and local girls would hit on you. I won't delve further on the second part, haha. Drinks were really cheap, for a popular club. I really miss the clubbing.. No way in Singapore can I find such a cheap and popular place to club. ): And you can smoke in the club anywhere and all. ):

Anyway, thank you guys for having my back that night. You know I love you all. (:

Wednesday

Overslept! Me and my friends joined my dad for a tour of Bali. Had lunch at a local restaurant, where mostly seafood was served. It was pretty good.

We then went to some local temple. Did I mention that over 90% of the Balinese practised their own form of Hinduism? Thankfully they did, because they're really nice and peaceful. A good side of religion, I guess. We took a photo with a python, it looked pretty slimy, but surprisingly it was not. Probably just how the scales looked. I like the nice python.

Next, we went to the Monkey Forest! Monkeys were everywhere, and they were just so adorable, especially those baby monkeys. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to spend much time there, and left soon for Hard Rock Cafe, where we had an overpriced and really normal meal.

After the meal, we walked around Kuta for a while, and went back to our rooms. Later that night, I went to club again. Really tired. ):

Thursday

Had breakfast and departed for the airport and for Singapore soon after. I miss Bali. ):

I don't know if I should be happy or upset. Haha.

Man, the one life changing overseas trip before National Service.

It's so sad I never reach that same state of highness. ): But it was trippy nevertheless.

I guess we'll go shopping later! Haven't spent much, really. Most things are really cheap here, like authentic Ralph Laurens for around S$40.

Can't wait to go to the spa later!

I can't believe we haven't been to the topless beaches yet.

Damn!!!!!!!!! I didn't bring my spectacles. ):

By the way, my phone has no international roaming capabilities at the moment. Forgot to activate. ):

The night sky at Bali is really beautiful. Really clear and full of stars. Too bad I have a shit-ass phone camera and can't take anything to post here. :X

But it's really sinful here, with our duty-free stuff brought in from Singapore. Heheheh. I hate taxes. ):

Going to grab breakfast at the hotel soon.
